Matt. 22:37-40
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments”
Great Commission
Matt. 28: 19-20
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”
The five Purposes are found in these two passages
1. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart”
2. “Love your neighbor as yourself”
3. “Go and make Disciple”
4. “Baptizing them”
5. “Teaching them to obey

The Purpose of Evangelism
Evangelism is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with those who don’t yet have a personal relationship with Him. Jesus’ last words remind us that we are called to be his witnesses

The Purpose of Worship
Worship is celebrating God’s presence and honoring Him with our lifestyle. It is our reason for existence.

The Purpose of Fellowship
True fellowship happens when members are known, cared for, held accountable, and encouraged in their spiritual journey.

The Purpose of Discipleship
Discipleship is the term regularly used to describe the building up or strengthening of believers in their quest to be like Christ.

The Purpose of Ministry
Ministry can be defined as “ meeting needs with love.” God has blessed every believer with special gifts to be used for ministry.
